About the Elevator Speech App

The Elevator Speech App (https://elevatorspeech.app) is a web-based tool designed to help users craft compelling and concise persuasive messages. Developed by Elevator Speech Training (elevatorspeechtraining.com), this app provides a structured framework for creating impactful speeches, pitches, or arguments.

Key Features

  1. Four-Part Structure: The app guides users through a four-step process to build their message:
    • Claim: A brief, intriguing statement (limited to 25 words)
    • Evidence: Concrete details to support the claim
    • Conclusion: A succinct takeaway (limited to 15 words)
    • Action: A specific next step
  2. Interactive Interface: Users can input their content directly into editable text fields for each section.
  3. Word Count Tracking: The app provides real-time word count feedback, helping users stay within the recommended limits for maximum impact.
  4. Examples: The app includes a tab with pre-written examples in three categories: “Doing a Pitch,” “Making a Point,” and “Voicing an Opinion.”
  5. Explanation: A dedicated section explains the purpose and best practices for each part of the speech structure.
  6. Evidence Guidance: The app emphasizes six key dimensions for providing strong evidence: Time, Place, Number with Context, Name, Quote, and Perception.
  7. Auto-Save Functionality: User input is automatically saved to local storage, allowing work to be resumed across sessions.
  8. Copy and Clear Functions: Users can easily copy their entire speech or clear all inputs with dedicated buttons.
  9. Accessibility Features: The app includes font size controls and is designed to be responsive across different devices.
  10. Offline Capability: As a web app, it can be added to the home screen of mobile devices for quick access, even without an internet connection.

The Elevator Speech App is designed to be a practical tool for anyone looking to improve their persuasive communication skills, from business professionals preparing pitches to students crafting arguments for debates or essays.

We use it as a tool in both, the Elevate Your Voice group workshop, and in our individual training sessions.
